Rest : Cafe Churchill
Meal : Late Lunch
Date : 15/7/2006
Location :Colaba Causeway
Company : Pie
Experience - Late lunch, wat out waiting for 20 mins (first time ive waited in a long long time) i had a nice parking spot and didnt feel like making out for Indigo Deli or Cafe Basilico so we stuck it.
Drink : Pepsi, Fresh Lime Soda
Food : Hmm, i ordered the Spagetti in Marinara with garlic bread ( i think it makes me sick) and there was a sandwich with some cheese. The food was ok. The pasta wasnt too bad the sandwich was average. My problem is the service and presentation. Service is haphazard (i know its busy but thats not an excuse) The pasta should have come in a bowl, thats how it is meant to be and it should be served atleast WARM rather than the luker side or luke warm. It could have been better but it wasnt. Dissapointing and NOT worth the wait.

Gallop
Rest : Gallop
Meal : Dinner
Date : 14/7/2006
Location :Race Course, Opp Haji Ali,
Experience - Early evening out. Thought to make it an interesting evening out. Gallop is great location, good ambience with great service.
Drink : Bloody Mary, Cold Coffee
Food : Took a while to decide whether to go for Indian or Continental. I always end up going for Indian when im at Gallop. Next time around im going for Continental. We split a Mulligatawny, fantastic. very well done, perfect taste. We went straight to the entrees which were Paneer Salan which is a SPICY hyderabadi style dish. Dal
Makhani, Naan and a Roomali Roti. Topped it up with Steamed rice. The dal makhani was very good, not as good as Masala Kraft but almost there. The Salan was frigging spicy, so spicy that it still is burning, but it was really good. worth it. The Naan was dissapointing in the sense that it was small, crispy rather than soft and fluffy like Taj Naan's. The roomali was ok.
A special mention for the bloody mary. Please, try them out. Best ive had in the city so far, so good i had two, one after the other.
Impressive meal, would do it again soon. highly recommended for ambience, food and service.

Indigo Deli
Rest : Indigo Deli
Meal : Late Lunch
Date : 2/7/2006
Location :Colaba,
Company : Pie
Experience - On a desperate schedule, we showed for a late late lunch.
Drink : Coffee Black, Mango Shake
Food : We ordered Eggs, sunny side up, with toast and a side of baked beans. Pie had ordered the sundried tomato thin crust pizza which they forgot to put in. Basically we switched to a sandwich which was also pretty good. Forget what it was now. The eggs were perfect. The sandwich was pretty good too. Pie ordered choc mousse to top it off with which was very good and subtlely different from other ones u get out there.
No complaints except for the service which was slow and slacked up but its fine. the food was worth it and im def going to make the indigo deli a regular haunt.
