Torrp it up

Rest: Torrp it up
Meal : Lunch
Loc : Spoon, Inox2 Nariman Point

So, i walk into Spoons at Inox2 Nariman Point for my customary pre movie sub and lo, its nowhere to be seen. I know my mind has been going slowly but i could have sworn there was a Subway in Spoon.

It has been replaced by a place called Torrp it up which apparently is along similar lines. With some skepticism we decided to give them a try.

While i am not a big fan of the brand name (sounds like they sell torpedoes) its a big cheerful sign. The most interesting thing with Torrp is that they have a lot of options unlike Subway. As much as i love my veggie delite at Subway, it gets old after a while (an no, the paneer and aloo patty suck)

Anyway, the torrp folks offer a single sized sandwich which is about a 10incher, one can also ger a wrap for almost any kind of sub as well as a salad.

The space is laid out just like a Subway counter.

We got a pesto salad with all the goodies, not bad. A little too creamy for my taste but the salad tasted allright. Some people might find it weird if its warmed up, so cold dressing would not be a bad idea.
What they also serve are burritos complete with refried beans and guacamole. Some mexican rice would really go a long way in locking the burrito in.

Apparently the burritos are fairly popular, no doubt since they taste so good.

Overall the food is not bad at all, its not subway, as in the choices are pre-set so you have relatively less say in what you get. However because of choices you can try a few more things than you would otherwise.

The only thing that i have a problem with is the price. 100+ for a burrito and a drink and you are treading a foot long sandwich territory. I am rarely one who looks at price when i eat but as good as the burrito is i think its 20% higher than it should be.

I also got to taste a little of their potato filling which was very good and the creamy mushroom which was not bad..

Food : 7/10
Service : 9/10
Damage : cant recall but around 400 or so.
